Dr. Barbara Gleason graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Upon graduation, she completed an equine internship in Florida with a focus on thoroughbred race horses. In the years after that, she ran her own successful small animal hospital until the call of the Ohio area drew her back home. For several years now, Dr. Gleason has been working for various practices in the Ohio/Kentucky area. With a firm belief in preventing illness for maximum health and life, she has developed her focus in small animal preventive care and ultrasonography. With thousands of hours of experience in providing small animal medicine and emergency care, she has developed processes and procedures to maximize preventive health care for your pets. As a professional purebred cat breeder for most of her life, she has intimate knowledge of different breed particulars and the steps necessary to effectively treat and provide best health practices.

Client education and communication is a primary focus in her practice. Dr. Gleason is currently licensed to practice medicine in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.


(Juanita Rowley Pic) Juanita Rowley, MA, PCC

Juanita Rowley is a founding partner of Veterinary Preventive Care and serves as the Chief of Operations for the company. Juanita received an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience and Executive Coaching and a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Prior to starting Veterinary Preventive Care, LLC, Juanita's professional career spanned across her own successful entrepreneurial business, to leading multi-million dollar departments in retail environments, through designing, creating, and implementing new programs within various organizations including the Richardson ISD and the Texas DHS. Most recently she provided mentoring and coaching to students in the College of Business at Western Governor's University.

Juanita has spent her life involved with animals. She raises and shows purebred cats and has placed cats all over the USA, Canada, South Korea, and Prague. Juanita's cats have won many awards and she has mentored new breeders to establishing successful catteries. She believes that keeping your pets healthy should be made easy and affordable and works closely with her twin sister, Dr. Barbara Gleason to ensure the vision of VPC is carried out daily.

Maggie is currently an undergraduate student at the Ohio State University and is studying to become a veterinarian. At school she focuses on her majors, Biology and Mathematics, and her research in a Veterinary Biosciences Lab at OSU. She has been working in veterinary clinics and animal shelters since she was 14, joining VPC as a veterinary technician in the summer of 2015.
